1. Scope and contact
This policy covers the LumiRead (微光阅读) iOS app and its support website. The developer is liaozhiliang. Contact liaozhiliang222@gmail.com. LumiRead is a local-file reader and requires no account.
2. Local processing and storage
Books, documents and metadata, reading positions, bookmarks, highlights, notes, preferences, and dictionaries or fonts you import are processed and stored on your device. PDF display and margin detection also run locally. We do not upload these data to developer servers, operate a cloud library, profile reading behaviour, sell reading data, or integrate advertising, cross-app tracking or third-party analytics SDKs.
3. System features you choose
Import reads files you select through the system file picker or sharing entry point. Your file provider handles downloads of cloud-stored files. Read-aloud uses system speech capabilities; some voices must first be downloaded through the operating system. We do not provide a developer-hosted cloud speech API. Copy writes selected text to the system clipboard and does not continuously read it. Files, text and images you export or share are handled by destinations you choose under their own policies.
4. Backups, retention and deletion
We do not operate app accounts or cloud sync. iOS backups, restores and transfers depend on your system settings and Apple services. You can export a backup or clear local user data in app settings, and manage font caches as indicated. Deleting the app normally removes its local data. Offloading while keeping data, device backups, exported files, shared copies and the system clipboard must be managed separately. We have no cloud copy and cannot recover local data that you have not backed up.
5. Voluntary support and privacy requests
When you choose to send email or feedback, we receive the email address, message, screenshots or attachments you supply, only to respond, investigate the reported issue and handle necessary follow-up, not for advertising profiles. Feedback is optional and does not affect reading. Please use small shareable samples and remove unnecessary personal details. We retain feedback only for the shortest period needed for these purposes and legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of information you supplied. Email providers may process correspondence under their own policies.
6. Website and external services
This website has no accounts, advertising trackers, third-party analytics scripts or attachment-upload forms. Hosting and network providers may process IP addresses, request paths, access times and browser information to deliver pages and protect the service. These technical data do not contain your in-app books or notes. Processing depends on providers and their configuration. External sites have their own policies.
7. Children, changes and rights
Minors should use the app with a parent’s or guardian’s guidance. We do not create children’s accounts or profile their behaviour. Users under 14 should have a guardian assist with support requests that provide personal information. You or your guardian may contact us. Updates will be dated here. Where a change legally requires notice or consent, we will follow applicable requirements. This policy does not limit mandatory privacy or consumer rights.
